The Salon

The Prism Salon is a quarterly gathering of coaches of color designed to encourage community building and networking in a relaxed and supportive environment. Each gathering provides time for socializing as well as focused discussion around a pre-announced topic, or a presentation by a guest speaker. The Salon provides coaches of color a unique time and place for open dialog, professional interaction, inter-active education, and collaboration.

The Salon is a catered event in a beautiful location overlooking Oakland’s Lake Merritt. It is usually held during evening hours. Free parking is available, as well as free pre-arranged pick-up at the nearby Lake Merritt BART station.

The Salon evening begins with an hour of dining and networking followed by the general group discussion which breaks into smaller group discussions. Participants return to the larger group sharing incites and key thoughts from the small group conversation.
